A community united is a community that cannot be ignored - and we're honoured to see our neighbours rallying together, pushing back against traffic calming measures in East Vancouver. With each week we watch our numbers grow and our cause strengthen; and we are grateful to all who have offered their support.
We're also hoping for others to join.
On October 28 Remove The Barriers will host a community event, allowing residents a safe space to voice their concerns and share their opinions. Visit us at The Alcove Lounge (2889 East Hastings Street, Vancouver) as we discuss the latest efforts to take back our streets. All of our neighbours are welcome and we hope to gain greater insight into your everyday experiences. We learn from each other; we support each other; and we create a strategy to fight back against measures none of us asked for.
For those joining us at the meeting, there is a far tastier subject on the agenda: The Alcove is offering its Barrier Buster Burger and a Beer for $20. This promotion includes a burger, fries, and your choice of lager or soda. Bring your family, invite a neighbour, and support a local business that has opened its doors to our community.
Let's reclaim our streets.
