Our community is finding its voice—with more of our East Vancouver neighbours joining the call to remove traffic calming measures. As of today, our petition has reached 3,190 signatures, with 56 new supporters in the past week alone; and with each new name we push our cause forward.
The petition is only part of what must be done, however. We need our neighbours to keep sharing their experiences and lending their voices, making sure that City Hall hears every concern. Join us for our next community meeting on Wednesday, November 4. From 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. we will be at The Alcove Lounge (2889 East Hastings Street), planning the next steps in our fight against the barriers. Bring your family; bring your friends; and bring your ideas. All are welcome as we develop strategies to maximize our reach and gain the attention of politicians and media outlets alike.
Every signature matters and each voice adds strength. Together, we can make it impossible to ignore our community - proving to the policymakers that change is needed. Let's keep moving forward.
