The next Remove the Barriers meetings will take place on Thursday, October 22, and Thursday, October 29. Both will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Greek Community Hall (4541 Boundary Road, Vancouver), and they will provide a chance for our community to discuss the growing concerns over concrete barriers. Residents are invited to share their stories, discuss how street changes affect their neighbourhoods, and contribute ideas for possible solutions. Whether frustrations involve access to homes, vehicle diversions, parking limitations, or emergency response concerns, local experiences can help identify the issues that matter most.
They can also identify which issues to emphasize with local policymakers - reaching out to political candidates and transportation councils alike with relevant, specific concerns. By sharing our complaints, we can better understand the full scope of traffic calming and its impact on our community.
