East Vancouver Residents Rally as Petition Surpasses 3,000 Signatures
The demand for less is growing - less obstructions, less inconveniences, less everyday impediments.

East Vancouver residents are making their voices heard - with the Remove the Barriers petition crossing the 3,000-signature milestone. Our friends and neighbours refuse to compromise their streets any longer. Instead they're joining together, sharing their frustrations and their stories; and they've helped us reach a significant moment for our cause.

What began as a few individuals expressing concerns about traffic calming measures has transformed into a wider public discussion. The campaign has attracted media attention and political interest alike, and it's brought residents together in the hope of redefining our streets. The 3,000-signature milestone represents more than a number, however: it also proves that our community wishes to define how these roads are maintained. The barriers were constructed with no consideration to everyday life, and their presence has impacted how we engage with the neighbourhood and each other. Change is needed.

We're confident it will happen.

We're equally confident, however, that it demands constancy - which is why we encourage East Vancouver residents to continue moving forward.

We've reached the 3,000 milestone. Let's see if we can push it to 4,000.
