Your streets, your voice: it's time to join the movement.
There is an unfortunate truth with government policies - they are rarely written by the ones who will be affected by them. The insistent use of concrete barriers across East Vancouver follows this frustrating trend, with lawmakers promising a better, safer future... and utterly failing to deliver a convenient now. Traffic calming measures have left our neighborhoods exposed to lost time and lost patience, and the supposed advantages have yet to emerge. Side-streets are overwhelmed; commutes are extended; and parking spaces are stolen, forcing drivers on an endless search for what was once understood as a basic need.
It's time to speak out.
Join us in our letter-writing campaign. We offer a convenient template which will help you share your story with City Hall - allowing you to explain grievances and express concerns with the press of a button. Connect directly with those who are shaping transportation policies and demand a solution to the traffic calming problem.
One letter can be ignored. Ten letters can be dismissed. Hundreds, however, must be acknowledged - and responded to. Join us as we bring our experiences to City Hall and try to restore the streets.
