Traffic Calming Effects In East Vancouver

East Vancouver: Speak Out For Our Streets

East Vancouver: Speak Out For Our Streets
Who gets to decide how East Vancouver moves? City planners and transportation advocates are trying to shape the answer - but we now have a chance to join the conversation.

On September 5 The Way We Move event brings policymakers, researchers, and advocates together at SFU Harbour Centre to discuss the future of Metro Vancouver's transportation system. Organizers are promising to address local concerns and provide solutions.

Make them keep that promise.

Now is the time to speak up. For East Vancouver residents who are frustrated with traffic calming measures that undermine both sense and safety, this event provides a platform to voice your opinions and connect directly with those shaping the streets - such as Lon LaClaire, General Manager of Engineering Services; Becca Mayers from TransLink’s Planning Division; and Denis Agar, Executive Director, Metro Vancouver Transit Riders. Ask the uncomfortable questions; demand accountability; and push back against unfair policies.

Tickets for The Way We Move are currently on sale (starting at $10 CAD). Join us for event and help to challenge traffic calming in East Vancouver:
